Volunteer Position: Nonfiction Editor (starts January 2026)

PLEASE take a few minutes and craft a cover letter that tells us about your relationship with nonfiction. Such as: What writers do you admire? What individual pieces? What do you think of our selections and the magazine? Do you write nonfiction? Why that genre? An so on. We also expect a resume/CV that lists your post-secondary education and also experience that have prepared you for selecting and editing nonfiction. 

Duties: Choose a range of nonfiction in a variety of subgenres, with help of assistant nonfiction editor. Edit accepted pieces for content and prose style. We publish about a dozen nonfiction pieces a year.

Requirements: Familiarity with and appreciation for a wide variety of nonfiction writing, strong editing skills.
