Volunteer Position: Nonfiction Editor (starts January 2026)

PLEASE take a few minutes and craft a cover letter that tells us about your relationship with nonfiction. Such as: What writers do you admire? What individual pieces? What do you think of our selections and the magazine? Why do you write nonfiction? An so on. We also expect a resume/CV that lists your post-secondary education and also experience that have prepared you for selecting and editing nonfiction. 

Duties: Choose a range of nonfiction in a variety of subgenres, with help of assistant nonfiction editor. Edit accepted pieces for content and prose style. We publish about a dozen general nonfiction a year plus Palestine and Ukrainian voices. 

Requirements: Familiarity with and appreciation for a wide variety of nonfiction writing, strong editing skills.
